Adirondack Tree Surgeons - Pocono Raceway

by GFR     on     Wednesday, 24-Jul-2019

Event: Gander RV 400 (Race 21 of 36)

Venue: Pocono Raceway (Long Pond, PA)

Format: Three Stages - Stages End: Lap 50, 100, 160 = 400 Miles

Date/Broadcast: Sunday, July 28 at 3:00 PM ET on NBCSN and MRN

Last weekend, Corey LaJoie had a strong showing throughout the on-track sessions in the Granite State, including a pair of 23rd-place results in the first two practices before ending the weekend by tallying a top-25 finish in the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301.

Venturing back to Pocono for the final time this season, LaJoie and the Go Fas Racing organization are hoping to carry over the positive momentum from recent weeks to have a more notable weekend at the three-turn track than the team's visit to the track earlier in the season.

What looked to be a strong day ended early due to unmanageable damage that progressed after contact from another competitor disfigured the body of LaJoie's Mustang and caused multiple tires to go down.

Adirondack Tree Surgeons will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 32 in Long Pond, PA after serving as a co-primary last weekend in New Hampshire.

Adirondack Tree Surgeons provides commercial and residential tree services including removal, trimming, emergency tree services and more.

The Gander RV 400 race weekend will mark crew chief Randy Cox's tenth visit to the Tricky Triangle as a Cup Series crew chief. He has a best result of 21st (2014) at the 2.5-track.

At the facility, LaJoie owns a win in which he earned in the ARCA Menards Series in 2013.

Tune in to the 400-mile event on Sunday, July 28 at 3:00PM ET to cheer on and watch the Adirondack Tree Surgeons No.32 Ford team.

LaJoie on the upcoming weekend at Pocono Raceway:

"I'm excited to go back to Pocono after building our notebook from the first race there. We had a solid car before I got some damage so I can't wait to get up there and redeem that run. It's great to welcome Adirondack Tree Surgeons back as a primary sponsor this weekend, it's a really good looking car that we're bringing to the track. Hopefully we can bring them another top-25 finish to keep pushing forward in the points.

It was a solid weekend in the Granite State for the Weirs Motor Sales / Adirondack Tree Surgeons team. The No. 23 proved to be a special number for the team as LaJoie ended two of the three practice sessions 23rd before ultimately finishing the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 23rd. LaJoie qualified 29th for the 301-lap race and in the early laps reported he was "loose to fire off." When the caution flew for Austin Dillon, LaJoie took the wave around to get back on the lead lap before ending the first Stage 27th. Quick work by the No. 32 crew gained LaJoie a few positions on pit road. When the next caution came out in Stage Two for oil on the track, the Weirs Motor Sales / Adirondack Tree Surgeons Ford returned for service including four tires and fuel and would take the green in 22nd on lap 116. Another caution for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. allowed LaJoie to pit again for a new set of Goodyear Eagles and Sunoco fuel before concluding Stage Two 22nd. The No. 32 took the green 23rd for the final Stage, still on the lead lap. The Charlotte, NC native continued to race around the 24th position for much of the third Stage, although two laps down at one point until gaining one lap back by taking the wave around when the yellow came out for Kyle Larson. LaJoie remained in the 23rd position for the final 29 laps, capping off a solid weekend in Loudon.
